to go together,

'This is my favourite piece of work commissioned for Laban, partly because it was choreographically very strong, partly because the dancers performed so beautifully, and mostly because we touched something in the human spirit and in the audience and left a poetic and resonant homage to the truly inspirational Gill Clarke.'
(Rotie 2012)

The dancers trained and studied with Marie-Gabrielle for 4 weeks and the piece was a result of an intensive research and creation process. The choreography explored time, duration and minimalism and drew upon two simple tasks, simply to descend to the ground and accept 'death' and then slow linear walking through space with the body transformed by images.

The work was dedicated to the memory of the late Gill Clarke who passed away just before the last touring performance, and had been central to the visionary teaching at Laban and in the Uk dance scene.
